| Guy Krigel
Guy Krigel (15), of the Artists Village Ein Hod, won the third prize at the prestigious Chopin competition held by the Israeli Friends of Chopin Association.
There were 15 competitors from all over Israel up to the age of 16, and the event took place at the Tel Aviv Conservatorium on the 9th and 10th of May.
The gala concert for the laureates will be held at the Tel Aviv Conservatorium on the coming Sunday.
Guy will play the following pieces:
Polonaise g-sharp-minor Moderato,
Etude in A flat-Major, Op. 25 Nr.1 Allegro sostenuto
Etude in C-Minor, Op. 25 Nr.12 Molto Allegro con fuocco
The Israeli Friends of Chopin Association, presided by the pianist Tadeusz Kerner, holds the competition biannually. This is the sixth competition.
Guy is a fourth generation of Ein Hod. He is the great grandson of Haya and
Ben Zion Magal, ones of the founders of Ein Hod, he is the grandson of Tova and Menachem Krigel and son of Sigal and Tal Krigel. His sister Adi also plays the piano
and performs in the annual concerts held by the family in Ein Hod.
Both, Guy and Adi, are students of the tireless teacher Mrs. Lilly Kravtchik.
Guy is a tenth grade student in the Hof Hacarmel School in Maagan Michael.
